Kyrö reindeer herding cooperative is part of the Pallastunturi reindeer marking district. The cooperative is located to the Kittilä municipality, with its western parts reaching Muonio municipality.
The Raakevuoma mire reserve area is located in the north of the cooperative and in west there is Pallastunturi, which is part of the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park (1020 km2) founded in 2005.
80.2 % of the cooperative’s total area is state land and 19.8 % is owned by other landowners.
