Lappi reindeer herding cooperative is part of the Sodankylä reindeer marking district. The cooperative is located to the northern part of Sodankylä municipality and from small parts to Inari and Savukoski municipalities.
The cooperative borders in north with Sallivaara, Hammastunturi and Ivalo cooperatives. In east with Russian border, in southeast with Kemin-Sompio, in south with Oraniemi and Sattasniemi and in east with Kuivasalmi herding cooperatives.
94.2 % of the cooperative’s total area is state land and 5.8 % is owned by other landowners.
