Muotkatunturi reindeer herding cooperative is part of the Inari reindeer marking district. The cooperative is located to the Inari municipality. It borders in north with Paistunturi, in northeast with Muddusjärvi, in southeast with Hammastunturi and in south with Sallivaara cooperative. In west the cooperative has Norway as its neighbour.
91.8 % of the cooperative’s total area is state land and 8.2 % is owned by other landowners.
