Näätämö herding cooperative is part of Inari reindeer marking district. The cooperative is located in the northern part of Inari municipality.
In north, the cooperative border goes along the Norwegian border. In east it borders with Vätsäri, in south with Muddusjärvi and in west with Kaldoaivi herding cooperatives.
98.2 % of the cooperative’s total area is state land and 1.8 % is owned by other landowners.
