Pohjois-Salla reindeer herding cooperative is part of the Keminkylä reindeer marking district. The cooperative is located to the northern part of Salla municipality. The cooperative borders in north and east with Russia. In south with Salla and west with Kemin-Sompio cooperatives.
Around 70 % of the cooperative area is state owned.
The round up fences are in Aukiselkä, Kungastolppa, Tuohivaara, Sarasaari, Lautakotaoja, Aitatsivaara, Värriö, Räntselmäselkä and Peurahaara.
Few herders live in Naruska. Most of the herders do not live in the cooperative area, but in the centre of Salla or other villages.
