Vätsäri herding cooperative is part of the Inari reindeer marking district. The cooperative is situated in the northeast of the Inari municipality.
In the north, the cooperative borders with Norway, in south with Paatsjoki, in southwest with Muddusjärvi and in west with Näätämö cooperatives.
99.6 % of the cooperative’s total area is state land and 0.4 % is owned by other landowners.
