Archives and old Poromies magazines
The archives of the Reindeer Herders’ Association from 1980s onwards are in the Association’s office in Rovaniemi.
The older materials, starting from 1930s, have been moved to the Oulu regional archive.
The archived documents include for example annual reports from reindeer herding cooperatives, Reindeer Herders’ Association’s Board and General meeting minutes, lists of reindeer and others.
Reindeer Herders’ Association has also archived old Poromies magazines (in Finnish). These can be seen in the Association’s office. Old magazines are not borrowed outside the house.
